Photo Gallery – Annie Tempest Event, Charlottesville, VA

Caspari, welcomed British illustrator Annie Tempest to the store on the downtown mall, Thursday October 5 through Saturday October 7, 2006 for a special exhibition of her work. “Tottering-By-Gently”. The three day visit proved to be both successful and fun!

The store was a buzz with over 200 Caspari and Annie Tempest customers enjoying a glass of “bubbly” and giggling at her humorous prints while Tempest herself mixed, mingled and signed everyone’s purchases. She wooed the crowd with her warmth and reiterated the bases for her unique view on life.

For over 18 years, Tempest has captured the misadventures, humor and eccentricities of Lord and Lady Tottering and their quintessentially English country lifestyle – the daily juggling of family, tradition and technology in a setting of a manicured estate, ‘wellies’, scones and Slobber, the ever present and precocious Black Lab.

Caspari hosted Tempest and her manager, Raymond O’Shea of O’Shea Gallery in London’s St. James’s Street. Caspari now carries a wide selection of Tottering-by-Gently prints, books, puzzles and many Caspari products featuring Tempest’s delightful illustrations.
