Founded with two handlooms in 1935 by Pierre Frey, the company specializes in the creation, production and manufacture of home furnishing fabrics both woven and printed. Pierre Frey was the first to use renowned artists to create different printed materials, and the success was immediate and enduring. Patrick Frey, his son, joined Pierre in 1969 and succeeded him in 1975 as creator, becoming president several years later. Heir to a culture and a French tradition that he has made his own, his tastes are nevertheless highly eclectic and he draws equal inspiration from 18th century England, Imperial china or modern-day Africa. The fabric collection includes a wide range of home fashion accessories.
