An evening with tim allis

Join us at Caspari for a book signing with Tim Allis, author of "Henri Bendel and the Worlds He Fashioned". Henri Bendel was a store of legend, beloved by generations of savvy, fashionable women. Henri the man is far less well known though. In his heyday he was a bona fide national style authority. Beyond his pioneering merchandising he was the top importer of Parisian fashion but also launched American design in the early 20th century. Privately, the native Louisianian-cum-New Yorker deployed his fortune to build grand homes and furnish them with rare antiquities procured abroad.

About the Event

Join us October 22nd from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for hors d'oeuvres and refreshments with  magazine writer and author Tim Allis while he shares never-told stories of the discreetly private Mr. Bendel. Explore the vibrant history of the iconic brand, followed by his signing copies of his image-rich, coffee table-worthy book "Henri Bendel and the Worlds He Fashioned".
